Torque is a global health education program which empowers future health professionals to consider the context in which they practice.

We believe that dialogue can bridge the gap between listening and action - hence the name "Torque!"

We largely teach through module events and activities, but host supplementary events like social functions, joint activities with other organisations and book clubs.

Our central philosophy and goals with Torque are to:

  • Introduce individuals to perspective-based knowledge on global health topics.
  • Facilitate inspiring global health conversation amongst young health professionals.
  • Build a global health community of like minded peers, experts and mentors.
  • Work with the Monash Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Science to complement the existing curriculum.
  • Foster a multi-disciplinary approach to global health.
